CHAD WARREN

CEO and Chairman of the Board of Managers

Chad is the Chairman of and a ZMC designee to the Board of Managers of Copper Moose.  In addition to his 40 years of experience in business development, project financing, business consulting, real estate, real estate development, and sales and marketing, he has a prolific background in science. He has worked extensively with bringing developing businesses and investors together for maximum mutual benefit.

Chad developed a successful medical equipment sales and distribution company in the Midwest and West Coast which he sold before moving into marketing and training. As head trainer for a telecommunications company expanding nationally, he led over 3,000 people in sales, motivation, and technical training.

Chad has over 19 years of experience as a commercial and high-end residential real estate broker with extensive experience in land and real estate development in Southern California and throughout the US. Chad has helped build large real estate portfolios for commercial and land investors in California and Arizona. He has been Vice President of development and marketing for two network marketing companies and has over 46 years of experience in public speaking, marketing, training, and business development.

 Chad is a Knight of Honor of The Orthodox Order of St. John - Hospitallers of Jerusalem, Russian Priory, and is also a member of The Association of Transformational Leaders (ATL), National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, Orange County Association of Realtors and Metal International (a men's organization for Leading entrepreneurs and changemakers in technology and media). Chad has his Bachelors in Quantum Physics and Mathematics with Minors in Sanskrit and the Vedas, and a Masters in Spiritual Psychology.

BILL MILLER

Member of the Board of Managers and Chief Financial Strategist

Bill Miller is a CME designee to the Board of Managers].  He is the creator of the Restricted Stock/Preservation of Principal (RS/POP) methodology that serves as the foundation of Copper Moose Ventures, LLC. His areas of expertise include sophisticated investment hedging and advanced arbitrage techniques, development of financial structures, reorganization plans, capitalization strategies, and marketing programs.

In addition to numerous other public speaking engagements, Bill was one of 10 keynote speakers at the Annual Stadium Development Conference in San Francisco attended by sports team executives and support organizations. During this symposium he unveiled a concept that would allow sports stadiums to be built debt free and without the need to use revenues to repay investors.

Bill’s areas of expertise include Restricted Securities, including re-sales and exchanges, purchase coordination, liquidation and utilization strategies for acquisitions, mergers, and capitalization of Private Placements, and securities and investments including portfolio and cash flow management, portfolio development, trading strategies, and various hedging techniques utilized by both individual and institutional investors.

MARIA SIMONE

Member of the Board of Managers and Vice President

Maria is a ZMC designee to the Board of Managers.  She is a transformational business and funding strategist, speaker, author, philanthropist, event producer, serial entrepreneur, and consummate dealmaker. She began her corporate career as a pharmacist negotiating and managing multi-million-dollar provider accounts in home healthcare with companies such as New England Critical Care, HMSS and Lincare. Maria has served on advisory panels to organizations such as J&J Ortho Biotech, The American Cancer Society, and Celeron. She coauthored Pharmacy Statutes for the State of Arizona in 1992 which remain on the books today.

Since retiring from a successful career in healthcare in 1999, she has founded and served as CEO of a number of businesses in retail, technology, services, fashion, and real estate investing. Maria grew her first retail business from a single location into a chain of successful stores and multiplied her income over 1000% in her first year. She then sold it for a profit in year two.

Maria has been responsible for raising over $10 million in funding for multiple projects and has created millions in revenue. In 2002, she founded Passion To Prosperity International, a business development firm serving those who desire to use their business as a force for good on the planet. She has provided funding, sales, and marketing support to existing organizations such as CEO Space International, Women’s Information Network, The National Business Experts, and Les Brown Enterprises.

JIM BAILEY

Member of the Board of Managers and Vice President

Jim Bailey is a CME designee to the Board of Managers.   He has devoted most of his business career to negotiating and completing sports, real estate and other complex business transactions. For twenty-one of those years (from 1978 until 1999) he served as Executive Vice President of the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens National Football League franchises. In that capacity, he was responsible for all the business, financial and legal operations of those teams, including the relocation of the Cleveland Browns franchise to become the Baltimore Ravens in 1996.

After his tenure with the NFL teams, Jim became the Chief Executive Officer of Manchester Resorts, a San Diego based resort and hotel developer and operator. In that capacity, he directed operations of its flagship property, the Manchester Grand Hyatt hotel in downtown San Diego, as well as the development of all new properties. Those efforts included obtaining financing for the construction of a 750-room expansion tower to the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

In 2001, Jim left Manchester Resorts to return to the sports industry. He established a consulting practice serving clientele in the sports business, including both team owners and local authorities, primarily in connection with the construction and financing of new or renovated venues – stadiums, ballparks and arenas including the financing for a new ballpark in downtown Nashville, Tennessee for the Nashville Sounds, a study for a University of Minnesota/Minnesota Vikings joint-use football stadium on the U of M campus in Minneapolis and the primary business plan for the L.A. Memorial Coliseum for the University of Southern California.

Prior to embarking on his career in the NFL, Jim practiced law in Cleveland, Ohio for seven years, where he specialized in real estate and complex business transactions. 

STEVEN EHLINGER

Member of the Board of Managers

Steve is a ZMC designee to the Board of Managers.  Throughout a career spanning more than 25 years, numerous companies have achieved successful funding and exit events due in large part to Steven’s approach to organizational structure and financial modeling. He has been the lead in many fundraising negotiations as a CFO, fractional-CFO, or financial consultant. Steven has built detailed financial models for over 25 companies of varying sizes, has been the CFO or COO of 10 organizations, and continues to be an ongoing advisor to many of the companies he has worked with.

As an entrepreneur, Steven was founding partner and CFO of EcoMedia (acquired by CBS Corporation), where he helped structure $29 million in startup and early-stage capital and created an evolutionary business model to fund large-scale environmental initiatives at no cost to the taxpayer—which has since generated over $600 million for cleaning the oceans.

He served as Managing Director for the asset management firms of Adams O’Connell, Inc. and for the Family Office of Morgan Adams, Inc. in which he managed over $600 million, including a Venture Capital Group, for over 200 living heirs of John Quincy Adams.

Steven founded Integrated Management Consulting (IMC) in 2007 to serve and counsel key executives in business mastery principles. He has since created the initial financial model for Thrive Market, who recently closed $111 million on a Series B round of financing on a $520 million valuation. Steven holds an MBA in Finance and Family Offices and BBA in Management and Marketing.

Additionally, Steven learned the deeper values of customer service in his early career in specialty retail management and buying at Saks Fifth Avenue, Parisian, and Nordstrom before a five- year stint with Blockbuster Entertainment that culminated in their acquisition by Viacom and subsequent buyout of Paramount Pictures. Steven holds an MBA in Finance and BBA in BBA in Management and Marketing.

ADAM COOK

Director of Research

Adam Cook began his career co-managing a custom home-building business in Phoenix, Arizona. During his time in the home-building industry, he managed multi-million-dollar budgets and led construction teams of subcontractors and suppliers to deliver quality outcomes for discerning clientele.

His business management and leadership experience led Adam to transition to film making where he was nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design, and Best Picture at the Sedona Film School’s 2010 Shorts Film Festival. His film, “Dead West,” earned him the Pinnacle Award for “Best Cinematography” at the 2012 Shorts Film Festival.

With Copper Moon Equity, Adam has focused on communications and marketing, including web site development and advertising and media coordination. He is also accomplished in investment derivative transactions, advanced hedging and trading techniques, and project development and management.
